Record the backset, handle-to-cylinder centers, spindle section and faceplate. Then define the rod or extension connections and the exact location of every hook, bolt, roller or other locking element.<\/p>\n<p>Compared with a single-point replacement lock, a multipoint system adds cumulative tolerance along the full door height.
