Round Tube Ladder and H Pulls

A door pull handle is a fixed bar or tube mounted on the face of a door, used to pull it open; on glass and entrance doors it is usually fitted back to back, one pull on each side, through-bolted through the door. HIPAD manufactures 60+ models of stainless steel door pull handles in SUS304 and SUS201, from 300 to 1850 mm long, in round tubes of Φ19–38 mm and flat or square tubes up to 25 × 45 mm. Glass door fabricators, door factories and hardware distributors in 60+ countries buy them from us as catalog models or made to their own design.
A pull handle has no moving parts. It is a grip, round or flat, held off the door face by two or more posts (standoffs), so a hand can wrap around it. It is used on doors that are pushed and pulled rather than latched: glass entrance doors, shop and office doors, shower doors, sliding doors and partitions. Where the door must also lock, the handle is combined with a separate lock or comes as a pull handle with lock.
Buyers also call them door pulls, pull bars or push-pull handles; a long two-post pull is a ladder pull and a pull with offset posts is an H pull or offset pull. In Mexico they are jaladeras (jaladeras de acero inoxidable), in other Spanish-speaking markets tiradores or manijas para puerta de vidrio, and in Brazil puxadores (puxador de inox, puxador para porta de vidro).
Quick answer: choose a ladder or H pull for most glass and entrance doors, a long round pull (1200–1850 mm) for tall commercial entrances, an offset or arc pull where knuckles need more clearance, a pull handle with lock where the door must lock without a separate lock body, and a C-shaped short pull for shower doors. Model numbers refer to our 2025 catalog.

Quick answer: a pull handle is ordered by three numbers: overall length (A), center-to-center of the fixing posts (B), which sets the hole positions in the door, and tube size (D). For a standard 2.1 m glass or entrance door choose 450–800 mm; for 2.4–3 m commercial entrances choose 1200–1850 mm; for shower doors choose 250–450 mm.

| 800 mm | 500 mm | Φ38 | Shop and office entrances, 2.1–2.4 m |
| 1200 mm | 800 mm | Φ38 | Commercial entrances 2.4–2.7 m |
| 1500 mm | 1150 mm | Φ35 | Tall entrances, with lock (HI-1001) |

HIPAD makes pull handles in both SUS304 and SUS201. State the grade in your order; it is marked on the packing so you can check it on arrival.

For a standard 2.1 m glass door, 450–800 mm pulls with Φ32–38 mm tubes are most common; tall commercial entrances use 1200–1850 mm pulls; shower doors use 250–450 mm. Order by center-to-center B so the glass holes match.
Measure the overall length A, the center-to-center B between the fixing posts, the tube diameter or section D and the projection from the door face. B is the number that must match the holes in the door.
SUS304 resists corrosion better because it contains more nickel, so use it for entrances, exterior doors, bathrooms and coastal areas. SUS201 costs less and suits dry interior doors. HIPAD makes handles in both grades.
