The appropriate material depends on the application environment and load requirements. Galvanized steel is the standard choice for outdoor construction applications. SS304 and SS316 are recommended for coastal environments and applications requiring a decorative finish. Aluminum brackets are preferred for lightweight window and door frame fabrication.
Load capacity varies by bracket size, material, gauge thickness, and fixing configuration. Our standard residential steel angle brackets support shear loads from 500N to 5,000N per bracket depending on the model.
